Job summary

NSW Health on behalf of South East Regional Hospital in Bega seeks an Orthopaedic Unaccredited Trainee. The role covers day-to-day management of orthopaedic inpatients and an on-call roster for SERH and nearby hospitals, with a mix of elective and emergency operating lists and clinics.

The position is a temporary full-time appointment, offering exposure to a busy service and pathways toward the AOA Training Program.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated ability to complete rotations as allocated and required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised clinical environment with strong judgement.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of orthopaedic inpatients.
• On-call service for SERH and surrounding hospitals.
• Supervise residents and rotate medical students; participate in elective and emergency lists and clinics.
