Job summary

The Orthopaedic SRMO at Southern NSW Local Health District, based at South East Regional Hospital in Bega, provides day-to-day orthopaedic inpatient management and on-call cover for SERH and nearby hospitals. The role includes assisting with approximately 1200 operations annually and supervising junior staff.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and registered with the Medical Board of Australia
• Ability to rotate across multiple hospitals and manage on-call duties
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Manage Orthopaedic inpatients daily and provide on-call cover
• Supervise residents and rotate medical students
• Participate in elective and emergency theatre lists and clinics
