Personalised Surgery Pty seeks a Surgical Planning Engineer in Sydney to convert CT imaging into personalised surgical plans and patient-specific instruments. You’ll work across planning, design and delivery, collaborating with orthopaedic surgeons to meet clinical objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering/science field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical technical approach.
• Solid understanding of anatomy and medical imaging principles.
• Good spatial reasoning and ability to interpret 3D anatomy.
• Confidence with software platforms and learning new technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborative mindset across a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Produce patient-specific surgical plans using CT imaging and proprietary software.
• Perform anatomical segmentation and landmark identification from medical imaging.
• Design and review patient-specific surgical instruments and docs.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons to align plans with clinical goals.
• Coordinate case progression with manufacturing and operations for timely delivery.
• Maintain documentation per quality and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning workflows and processes.
• Support R&D including new product development and validation.
• Participate in design reviews and technical investigations.
