Job summary

Downer Professional Services is seeking an Organisational Manager in Canberra (preferred) to deliver change management across Defence ICT and capability projects. This role partners with CASG and NSSG to drive business readiness, stakeholder engagement and communications aligned to program objectives.

You will lead change activities, design training and workshops, monitor adoption outcomes and collaborate with diverse project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services comprises of our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for an Organisational Manager in Canberra (preferred), with other Australian locations considered, to work on Defence Intelligence, ICT and Capability projects.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

• Develop and implement organisational change, stakeholder engagement and communication strategies aligned to project objectives.
• Assess and manage change impacts across people, processes and technology to support successful adoption outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities and provide advice on business readiness and change delivery.
• Design and coordinate communications, training, workshops and support activities for impacted stakeholder groups.
• Monitor change effectiveness, adoption metrics and stakeholder feedback, implementing mitigation strategies where required.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience delivering organisational change management outcomes within complex ICT transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and business readiness capabilities.
• Experience conducting change impact assessments and developing targeted adoption strategies.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across project, business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
