Job summary

GO.FARM Operations Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Orchard Manager to support day-to-day management of Bembaala Orchard. You’ll lead teams, coordinate activities, monitor crop performance and manage resources with a hands-on approach.

You’ll work closely with the Orchard Manager to achieve production, quality, and financial targets while identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies. The role offers a competitive base salary and incentives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or orchard operations.
• Experience leading or supervising people.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Chemical accreditation (or willingness to obtain it).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and high standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of orchard operations (land prep, irrigation, nutrition, pest/weed).
• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of orchard employees and contractors.
• Monitor and maintain orchard infrastructure, machinery, irrigation systems, equipment.
• Assist with budget management, reporting, and operational planning.
• Promote a safe, productive, and positive team culture.
• Work with the Orchard Manager to reach production, quality, and financial targets.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
• Represent GO.FARM with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Other duties as required.
