Job summary

Agri Talent Pty is seeking an experienced Farm/Orchard Manager to lead a well-established almond operation near Hillston, NSW. You will own day-to-day performance, plan activities, manage staff, and drive asset management across irrigation, maintenance and orchard operations.

Five years in farm management is preferred, with almond or tree crop experience highly regarded. The role offers on-site housing, a company vehicle, and a permanent, established team to lead.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience across farm operations and management.
• Experience with almonds or other permanent/tree crops highly regarded.
• Proven people leadership skills with the ability to set expectations and develop teams.
• Strong operational planning and organisational capability.
• Financial literacy including budgeting, cost management and reporting.
• Sound understanding of WHS, farm safety and compliance requirements.
• Strong computer literacy, record keeping and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for orchard performance, productivity, costs and reporting.
• Lead and develop an established team across irrigation, maintenance and orchard operations.
• Plan and coordinate activities across the full seasonal orchard calendar.
• Manage labour, machinery, equipment and operational resources.
• Oversee irrigation, orchard health, pest and disease management.
• Manage farm infrastructure, assets and preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain strong safety, operational and performance standards across the orchard.

About the role An excellent opportunity for an experienced Farm or Orchard Manager to take ownership of a well-established almond orchard near Hillston, NSW. Leading an experienced on-farm team, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the orchard, including people, planning, day-to-day operations and asset management. Almond experience would be highly regarded; however, experienced managers from other tree crop operations, including citrus, avocado and stone fruit, are also encouraged to apply.
