Job summary

Agri Talent Pty is seeking a seasoned Farm Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations across a large almond orchard in the Renmark region. You will oversee horticulture, irrigation/fertigation, spraying and harvest, while building a high‑performing team and reporting on the site’s budget and performance.

This is a big, well‑invested site requiring hands‑on leadership from the front. Almond experience is not essential—candidates from horticulture backgrounds with strong irrigation fundamentals are

Qualifications

5+ years managing an irrigated perennial tree crop in a farm setting.
Demonstrated leadership at a large site and with multiple managers.
Budgeting and financial reporting experience is essential.
Almond experience is not essential; horticulture backgrounds with irrigation fundamentals are welcome.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations across the orchard: horticulture, irrigation/fertigation, spraying and harvest.
Lead a strong team including an assistant manager, irrigation manager, maintenance manager and 10 staff.
Oversee safety performance and build a strong safety culture, including with contract harvest labour.
Own the farm's operating budget and report on performance.
