Job summary

Agri Talent Pty is seeking a seasoned Farm Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations across a large almond orchard in the Renmark region. You will oversee horticulture, irrigation/fertigation, spraying and harvest, while building a high‑performing team and reporting on the site’s budget and performance.

This is a big, well‑invested site requiring hands‑on leadership from the front. Almond experience is not essential—candidates from horticulture backgrounds with strong irrigation fundamentals are

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing an irrigated perennial tree crop in a farm setting.
• Demonstrated leadership at a large site and with multiple managers.
• Budgeting and financial reporting experience is essential.
• Almond experience is not essential; horticulture backgrounds with irrigation fundamentals are welcome.

Your Employer

Our client is one of Australia's largest almond growers, with a network of orchards and state-of-the-art processing facility. This 1,100 hectare property is a consistently top-performing site, averaging industry leading yields over the past eight years. It's well invested and well run.

The Role

• Manage day-to-day operations across the orchard — horticulture, irrigation/fertigation, spraying and harvest


• Lead a strong team including an assistant manager, irrigation manager, maintenance manager and 10 orchard operations staff.


• Manage safety performance and build a strong safety culture, including with contract harvest labour


• Own the farm's operating budget and report on performance

About You

• 5+ years managing an irrigated perennial tree crop as a Farm Manager, 2IC or Irrigation Manager


• Strong, resilient leadership - this is a big site and it needs someone who leads from the front


• Solid budgeting and financial reporting skills


• Almond experience is not essential - we welcome backgrounds across horticulture, including viticulture, provided the leadership and irrigation fundamentals are there
