Job summary

GO.FARM is seeking an experienced Almond Operations Manager to lead a team of Orchard Managers across the Goulburn Valley, overseeing over 3,000 hectares of almond orchards. This senior role focuses on capability building, consistency and performance as the portfolio grows.

You will own production planning, drive yields and quality, and manage budgets, labour, and resources while partnering with functions to ensure safety and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

• Ability to translate agronomic and strategic priorities into practical operational plans.

• Strong judgement, problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive when priorities compete.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Orchard Managers, creating a high-performing and accountable culture.
• Own the almond production plan and delivery of yield, quality, tree health and orchard establishment outcomes.
• Lead operational planning across the portfolio and optimise labour, machinery, contractors, water and other shared resources.
• Establish consistent operating standards and drive disciplined execution across critical seasonal activities.
• Own the consolidated operating budget and forecast, actively manage key cost drivers and address performance variances through timely corrective action.
• Lead operational capital planning and create procurement opportunities that leverage the portfolio's collective purchasing scale.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, technology, productivity and ways of working.
• Partner closely with Agronomy, Projects, Maintenance, Assets, Melbourne Farm Hub and other functions, while leading a proactive safety culture across the portfolio.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager – Goulburn Valley, the Almond Operations Manager will lead a team of Orchard Managers across the Goulburn Valley region, responsible for over 3,000 hectares of Almond Orchards planted, with ongoing development in progress.

This is a senior operational leadership role with a strong focus on building capability, creating consistency and improving performance as the portfolio continues to grow.

In this role, you will:

You are an experienced agricultural leader who can maintain strong portfolio level oversight while empowering Orchard Managers to own and deliver performance within their operations.

You combine strong commercial judgement with practical agricultural knowledge and know how to create clarity, accountability and consistency across complex operations.

You will ideally bring:
