• Active NV1/NV2 clearance (security)
• Oracle Database expertise (DBA/Engineer/Architect)
• Experience with Defence, national security or government environments

Responsibilities

• Provide incident resolution and problem identification for Database Platform.
• Offer guidance on proactive problem avoidance.
• Provide best practice design, installation, and configuration for database deployments.
• Knowledge transfer on engagement with Support processes and procedures.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to customer staff.
• Software lifecycle guidance including patch, upgrade, and migrations.
• Assist PMs with implementation and deployment strategies; resolve technical issues.

Vertical Scope Group (VSG) is expanding our award-winning Professional Services team and we’re seeking Oracle Database Professionals to join us in exciting opportunities across our Defence, National Security, and Government programs.

If you're an experienced DBA, Engineer, Architect, or Systems Specialist with an active NV1/NV2 clearance — we want to hear from you.

About the role:

This role is to provide Database Platform management support to customers covering the following areas:

• Provide incident resolution, problem identification and resolution activities.
• Provide guidance on proactive problem avoidance activities.
• Provide best practice design, installation, and configuration advice for Database Platform deployment and management.
• Knowledge transfer on effective engagement with Support processes and procedures.
• Mentor and provide knowledge transfer to customer staff.
• Software lifecycle guidance (i.e. patch, upgrade, and migration planning and execution).
• Provide technical assistance to Project Managers in developing implementation and deployment strategies for solutions.
• Assist with the management and resolution of technical issues arising from solution implementations.
