Job summary
Alcon is seeking an experienced engineer to design equipment layouts and production sequences for efficient manufacturing of optical products. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and advising design teams to optimize manufacturability while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will have 5–10 years in NPI/process engineering in MTO, preferably in startups, with a strong optics and mechanical background and a hands-on problem-solving approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or automation or related discipline.
- 5–10 years in NPI/Process Engineering in MTO, preferably in startups.
- Strong mechanical, chemical, process and optics background.
- Hands-on, self-starter with problem-solving and process-improvement focus.
- Experience in highly regulated industries with complex product lines.
Responsibilities
- Design arrangement of manufacturing equipment for optimal layout.
- Define production operation sequences and adapt machinery to conditions.
- Conduct tests to control variables and troubleshoot production problems.
- Provide inputs to product design engineering on specifications for manufacturability.
- Ensure production processes comply with regulations and quality standards.
- Support optical assembly processes with proper handling and cleaning of components.
