Job summary

Modbury Hospital, part of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), is expanding its ophthalmology team and inviting applications for Ophthalmology RMO positions for a January 2027 intake. Contracts run through 30 January 2028 with multiple vacancies across the NALHN facilities in Adelaide's north.

You will work under consultant ophthalmologists delivering inpatient and outpatient ophthalmology care, participate in surgical exposure, and contribute to after-hours on-call coverage while

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for interacting with patients, families and colleagues.
• Demonstrated clinical reasoning and the ability to work effectively in a supervised hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical assessment and management under consultant supervision.
• Assist in theatre and procedural settings to gain surgical exposure.
• Contribute to after-hours on-call coverage as rostered across the unit.
• Support accurate clinical documentation and multidisciplinary communication.
