United Steel Perth, WA is seeking a motivated Storeman to join our busy steel distribution team. This role focuses on safe handling, storage, and dispatch of steel products while ensuring warehouse operations run smoothly.

You will work closely with production, dispatch and sales to meet delivery requirements, maintain accurate stock records, and conduct regular stock takes. A current forklift license is essential, overhead crane license preferred, and a strong commitment to safety.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Storeman to join our busy steel distribution and processing team. This role is responsible for the safe handling, storage, and dispatch of steel products while ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel products and materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes (where licensed).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure steel products are stored safely to prevent damage.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with workplace health and safety standards.
• Work closely with production, dispatch, and sales teams to meet customer delivery requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse or storeman experience, preferably in the steel, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
• Current Forklift License (essential).
• Overhead Crane License or experience (preferred).Ability to safely handle long and heavy steel products.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
