Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling in Hexham is seeking multiple Operators / Pickers to perform yard labour and sort scrap metals from the conveyor. This permanent day shift runs 7am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with on‑the‑job training and clear progression paths.

Pay rate is 31.86 AUD per hour plus super. You will sort materials, remove contaminants, monitor the belt, report issues, and uphold safety while keeping the yard clean. Join a team with strong safety culture and career growth.

About the role

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Hexham site, we are seeking multiple Operators / Pickers who will be responsible for general yard hand labouring duties and picking and sorting of scrap metal from the conveyor. This is a permanent day shift role with hours from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. There will be on-the-job training provided and excellent opportunities for career progression/multi skilling.

Pay rate - $31.86 per hour plus super.

What you will be doing:

• Pick and sort scrap metals from conveyor belt
• Remove contaminants to maintain the quality of materials
• Monitor the conveyor belt speed and functionality
• Notify maintenance or supervisors of any mechanical issues
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
