Job summary

Sims Limited in Gosford is seeking a hands-on Operator to support yard operations, operate a range of mobile equipment, and help keep the site safe and efficient while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will handle loading/unloading, sorting metals, and assisting with receival, processing and dispatch of recyclable materials. Training and career development are provided in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a similar operating environment.
• Current Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience operating mobile plant and equipment would be an advantage.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers and skip bins.
• Sort, grade and process ferrous and non‑ferrous metals.
• Assist with receival, processing and dispatch of recyclable materials.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Support general yard operations and site activities as required.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to drivers, suppliers and customers.

We're seeking a motivated Operator to help keep our site running safely and efficiently while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll be responsible for operating a range of mobile equipment, processing recyclable materials and supporting daily yard operations. What You'll Be Doing

• Operating forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Bring
