Sims Metal is seeking an experienced Operator for our Milperra recycling operations team. You will operate forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant to load, sort and dispatch recyclable materials, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work a permanent day shift, typically 6:00am to 2:00pm, with potential variations to meet operational needs. The role offers ongoing training, strong teamwork, and opportunities for career progression within a global sustainability leader.

• Current Forklift Licence and practical operating experience.
• Experience operating heavy mobile plant and equipment.

Operator

We are looking for an experienced Operator to join our Milperra recycling operations team. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of our busy site, operating a range of mobile equipment including forklifts, excavators, and other plant while helping to process and recycle valuable materials.

This is a permanent day shift position, generally working 6:00am to 2:00pm, with flexibility required as finish times may vary to meet operational needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating forklifts, excavators and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.

• Sorting, grading and processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Assisting with the receival, processing and dispatch of recyclable materials.

What You’ll Bring
