Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Industrial Vacuum Operators. This hands-on role supports environmental and industrial services across various site locations, with safety, teamwork, and reliability as core requirements.

As an Industrial Vacuum Operator, you will operate vacuum trucks, complete pre-work safety documentation, manage hoses across multi-level structures, and maintain equipment to high housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Confined Space Entry certification is required.
• Working at Heights certification is required.
• HR Truck Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks and travel to job sites.
• Complete safety documentation prior to work (Take 5, SLAMS, JSEA, lock out/tag out).
• Set up and manage vacuum hoses across multi-level structures; work in confined spaces and at heights safely.
• Maintain equipment, clean trucks, and uphold high housekeeping standards.

We are currently seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Industrial Vacuum Operators.

About the Role:

As an Industrial Vacuum Operator, you'll play a vital role in delivering essential environmental and industrial services across site locations. This is a hands-on role where safety, teamwork, and reliability are key.

You'll be working across operational sites supporting vacuuming, cleaning, and environmental services using specialised equipment in a supportive team environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating vacuum trucks and travelling to job sites
• Completing safety documentation before work, including:
  • Take 5
  • SLAMS
  • JSEA
  • Isolation permits and lock out/tag out procedures
• Setting up and managing vacuum hoses across multi-level structures
  • Working in confined spaces and at heights safely and effectively
  • Environmental spill response and clean-up
• Maintaining equipment, cleaning trucks, and ensuring high housekeeping standards
