Job summary

Campbelltown City Council is seeking motivated Operative Urban Landscapes to join our growing team for permanent and casual roles. The position involves hands-on outdoor work such as mowing, edging, weeding and pruning to keep parks and open spaces in top condition.

You will support safety, operate mobile devices for communication, and work either independently or with small teams. We offer a four-day week for permanent staff, fortnightly pay, generous leave and professional development

Qualifications

• Current Class MR Drivers Licence.
• Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
• High level awareness of Work, Health and Safety, environmental and risk identification aspects related to open space maintenance work.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated skills and experience of Urban Landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, chemical spraying, litter collection, tree planting, pruning and asset inspections.
• Demonstrated experience in verbal and written communication skills including mobile technology devices.
• Demonstrated ability to work alone or in small autonomous teams
• Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging, weeding, tree planting, pruning and maintaining parks and open spaces.
• Asset inspections and litter collection with attention to WH&S and environmental standards.

• $36.41- $39.40 per hour depending on skills and experience + 12% superannuation +25% casual loading where applicable

Do you love working outdoors and want to help keep our City looking its best? Join our Urban Landscapes team as a Permanent or Casual Operative. Whether you're looking for some extra work, flexible hours, or employment during your University/TAFE break, you'll play a hands-on role in mowing, edging, weeding, tree planting, pruning, and maintaining our parks and open spaces.
