Job summary

Kilargo in Banyo, Australia, is seeking a Production Assistant to support our manufacturing teams by cutting, picking and preparing materials for production. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly and work closely with assembly teams to meet daily targets.

The role requires physical work, attention to detail, and reliability in a team environment, with a Monday-Thursday 5AM–1:30PM and Friday 5AM–11AM schedule, contributing to a safe, efficient workplace.

Responsibilities

• Pick and cut metal profiles to production orders

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Assistant to join the team at Kilargo in Banyo. As a leading manufacturer of door seals and safety systems, Kilargo helps create safer, quieter, and more energy-efficient buildings across Australia.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be cutting, picking, and preparing materials for production, ensuring our assembly teams have everything they need to keep operations running smoothly. What you will do

• Pick and cut metal profiles to production orders
• Sort and prepare materials for assembly teams
• Move materials and trolleys throughout the production area

What we require

• Ability to perform physically demanding work and manual handling
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and saftey
• Basic maths skills for measuring and cutting materials
• Ability to read and understand written work instructions
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work well within a team
• Availability Monday - Thursday (5AM - 1:30 pm) & Friday (5am - 11am)

What we prefer

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or production
• Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience working with metal products or materials
• Basic knowledge of SAP or Microsoft Excel - or willingness to learn
