Job summary

Northline is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Trainee to join our Bundamba Warehouse in Brisbane. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across administration and floor operations, with a chance to learn freight processes and build a long-term career in transport and logistics.

You'll support data entry, paperwork, and customer enquiries while gaining exposure to our depot operations. No prior experience required; forklift licence is an advantage, and we can help you obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration and operational activities in the warehouse.
• Provide friendly and professional service to drivers, visitors and customers.
• Complete data entry and ensure information and documentation are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and process paperwork relating to freight pickups and deliveries.
• Assist the operations team on the depot floor as required.
• Work closely with different teams to help ensure freight is processed and deliveries are not missed.
• Follow all site safety procedures and learn different aspects of our transport and logistics operations.

Northline is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Trainee to join our team at our Bundamba Warehouse in Brisbane.

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career within the transport and logistics industry.

This is not your typical office-based role. As an Operations Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience across different areas of our Warehouse, supporting both our administration team and our operational floor. One day you may be assisting with data entry, paperwork and customer enquiries, and the next you could be supporting the team on the floor and learning how our freight operations come together.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, willing to get involved and eager to learn. If you already have a Forklift Licence, that is a great advantage. If you do not, that is okay too. We can support you in obtaining one, provided you are willing to learn and gain your licence.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent full-time position with an established Australian-owned transport company while developing practical skills and experience across a range of operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Trainee, you will learn and assist with a variety of tasks, including:

• Supporting the day-to-day administration and operational activities of the Warehouse.
• Providing friendly and professional service to drivers, visitors and customers.
• Completing data entry and ensuring information and documentation are accurately recorded in our systems.
• Preparing and processing paperwork relating to freight pickups and deliveries.
• Assisting the operations team on the depot floor as required.
• Working closely with different teams to help ensure freight is processed and deliveries are not missed.
• Following all relevant site safety procedures and instructions.
• Learning different aspects of our transport and logistics operations as you develop in the role.

What Are We Looking For?

We value the right attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. Experience in transport and logistics is not required, but it will be highly regarded.

• Be flexible and willing to work across both administration duties and hands-on operational tasks on the depot floor.
• Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Have good communication and customer service skills.
• Be organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
• Have good attention to detail and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Be willing to obtain a Forklift Licence if you do not already hold one.
• A current Forklift Licence would be highly regarded but is not essential.
