Job summary

Green Leaves Early Learning – Canberra ACT is seeking an accomplished leader to mentor Centre Directors and teams, ensuring the Green Leaves Commitments are modelled in daily practice. You will travel to Tasmanian centres, support recruitment, licensing, and ongoing professional development while maintaining exceptional centre standards and regulatory compliance.

You will also monitor KPIs across revenue, occupancy, wages, and expenses, and partner with Marketing to promote occupancy growth,

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services required.
• Leadership experience managing several sites in a similar role.
• Ability to lead, motivate and drive a team toward continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of QikKids/Kiosk and CCSS Guidelines is advantageous.
• Current WWVP Registration and Police Check are required.

Responsibilities

• Support Centre Directors with leadership and mentoring across multiple centres.
• Visit centres regularly to drive progress and continuous improvement.
• Oversee performance management and provide guidance for action where needed.
• Review Quality Improvement Plans and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with recruitment, licensing prep, inductions and tours for new centres.
• Support family engagement and parent tours, addressing concerns.
• Ensure centres meet regulatory standards and budgets, including wages and rosters.
• Collaborate with Marketing to drive occupancy and promotions.
• Travel regularly across Tasmanian centres.

Green Leaves Early Learning – Canberra ACT

Day to Day You Will

Live and breathe our Green Leaves Commitments, supporting, mentoring and guiding Centre Directors and their teams to role model them in everything they do

Visit your Centres regularly to help teams stay on track with progress and continuous improvement

Mentor Centre Directors hands on to build leadership capability, and engage teams in professional development and training

Support Centre Directors with performance management, providing advice and guidance where further action is needed

Review each Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) with the Centre Director and drive continuous improvement

Support new Centre start-ups alongside the Start-Up Officer, including recruitment, licensing preparation, training, inductions, tours and opening

Connect with families when you’re in Centre, assist with parent tours and orientations, and support Centre Directors to respond to parent concerns

Keep Centres presented to an exceptional standard and resourced to support children’s learning

Ensure every Centre stays compliant with regulations and legislation, building your teams’ compliance skills

Manage Centre KPIs with your Centre Directors across revenue and occupancy, wages, debt and controllable expenses, including monitoring rosters against legislation and wage budgets

Work with Marketing on Centre promotions and campaigns to drive occupancy

Travel regularly across your Tasmanian Centres

About You

An Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services

Leadership experience managing several sites in a similar role

The ability to lead, motivate and drive a team to focus on continuous improvement

Demonstrated experience achieving commercial and operational business outcomes

Up to date knowledge of QikKids/Kiosk and the Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) Guidelines, and you keep abreast of sector developments

A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration

A current Police Check

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates

Current Child Protection Training

Exceptional customer service and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organised, with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities and managing your time effectively

The ability to travel regularly across your Tasmanian Centres

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

A tertiary qualification in Business, Human Resources or Education

Experience with Salesforce, Kindynow and Story Park

Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Facebook
