Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Operations Supervisor on the Sunshine Coast to lead daily branch operations and oversee inventory for safe, efficient service. You will champion safety, coach a small team, and coordinate with drivers and customers to meet schedules while maintaining high quality standards.

This role emphasizes a strong safety culture and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience leading, managing or supervising an operations/yard team.
• Proven leadership capabilities with ability to engage, coach and inspire.
• Excellent planning skills with track record of managing tight schedules and deadlines.
• Proactive, professional approach focused on delivering great service to internal and external customers.
• Monitor delivery schedules and proactively manage delays or issues.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Team leadership: supervise and mentor yard personnel and assign daily duties.
• People development: coach, mentor, train and support the team for long-term growth.
• Inventory & asset control: oversee equipment inventory and maintenance for accurate stock.
• Continuous improvement: identify and roll out process improvements to boost branch efficiency.
