Partisan Protective Services
Location: Sydney, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Security Operations / Mobile Patrols / Alarm Response

About the Role

Partisan Protective Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Supervisor – Mobile Patrols to join our growing operations team.

This is a hands-on operational position responsible for the day-to-day supervision of our Mobile Patrol and Alarm Response operations. The successful applicant will work closely with our Operations Management team and 24/7 Control Room to ensure patrol services are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with client requirements.

This role is suited to someone who understands mobile security operations and is comfortable being out in the field, conducting officer inspections, auditing patrol runs, responding to operational issues and supporting patrol officers.

Current or recent experience in mobile patrols, alarm response or security operations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Supervising Mobile Patrol Officers and Alarm Response Officers.
  • Conducting regular field inspections and officer welfare checks.
  • Auditing patrol runs to ensure services are completed correctly and on time.
  • Reviewing patrol routes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Conducting random site and officer inspections, including after-hours inspections.
  • Ensuring officers comply with site-specific SOPs and client instructions.
  • Monitoring patrol completion and investigating missed or incomplete patrols.
  • Reviewing GPS, NFC/checkpoint and electronic patrol records.
  • Managing alarm response performance and investigating response delays.
  • Assisting with urgent and short-notice operational requirements.
  • Supporting the Control Room with patrol and alarm response coordination.
  • Conducting site inductions and training for new patrol officers.
  • Ensuring patrol officers have the correct keys, access devices, site instructions and equipment.
  • Maintaining key registers and assisting with key audits.
  • Conducting patrol vehicle inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, safe and appropriately equipped.
  • Monitoring uniforms, grooming and presentation standards.
  • Assisting with rostering and ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained.
  • Managing staff performance and escalating repeated non-compliance.
  • Investigating client complaints and operational service failures.
  • Completing incident reports, investigation reports and corrective actions.
  • Liaising with clients regarding operational matters when required.
  • Providing regular operational updates to management.
  • Assisting with mobilisation of new patrol and alarm response contracts.
Patrol Compliance & Auditing

A major component of this position will be ensuring that PPS delivers the services it has contracted to provide.

The Operations Supervisor will regularly audit:

  • Patrol completion.
  • Patrol arrival and departure times.
  • GPS locations.
  • NFC/checkpoint compliance.
  • Photographic evidence.
  • Site instructions and SOP compliance.
  • Key control.
  • Patrol vehicle condition.
  • Fuel card and eTag usage.
  • Officer licensing and compliance.
  • Uniform and presentation.
  • Incident and patrol reporting.

Any identified service failure must be investigated, documented and corrected promptly.

Alarm Response Operations

The Operations Supervisor will assist in maintaining effective alarm response coverage across allocated patrol areas.

Responsibilities include monitoring response performance, supporting officers during significant incidents, reviewing response reports and working with the Control Room to ensure alarm response instructions are correctly followed.

The successful applicant must understand that alarm response work can be unpredictable and requires strong communication between the Control Room, patrol officers, clients and Operations Management.

Rostering & Workforce Management

The Operations Supervisor will assist with ensuring patrol runs are appropriately resourced and rostered.

This includes:

  • Reviewing roster coverage.
  • Managing unplanned absences.
  • Arranging replacement officers.
  • Monitoring employee hours and fatigue.
  • Reducing unnecessary overtime through effective rostering.
  • Ensuring officers are appropriately licensed and inducted.
  • Maintaining sufficient coverage for annual leave and unexpected absences.

The successful applicant will need to be proactive and capable of resolving staffing issues before they impact client service delivery.

Applicants should have:

  • Current NSW Security Licence.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Current or recent security operations experience.
  • Mobile patrol and/or alarm response experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage staff and address performance issues.
  • Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.
  • Availability to undertake field inspections outside standard business hours when required.
The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is operational, organised and accountable.

This is not a position where the successful applicant will spend the entire day behind a desk. You will be expected to regularly attend patrol areas, inspect officers, visit client sites, audit service delivery and understand what is happening operationally.

You must be comfortable holding employees accountable while also providing them with the training, equipment and support required to perform their roles correctly.

You will need to be able to identify a problem, investigate what happened and implement a practical solution rather than simply passing the issue to another department.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to join a growing Australian security organisation with expanding Mobile Patrol, Alarm Response and Alarm Monitoring operations.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior management and have the opportunity to contribute directly to the continued development of our mobile operations.

We offer:

  • Company vehicle for operational duties.
  • Mobile phone and required operational equipment.
  • Support from a 24/7 Operations Control Room.
  • Established patrol and reporting technology.
  • Opportunity for career progression as the business continues to grow.
  • Direct involvement in major commercial and government security contracts.
