Job summary

Bowen Rail Company is seeking an Operations Supervisor based at the Bowen Provisioning Yard to lead the rail operations workforce, optimise productivity, and ensure safety compliance in line with ASPIRE values.

You will report to the Operations Superintendent - Rail and support the professional development of train crews, manage rosters including weekends and holidays, and drive performance through teamwork and effective documentation.

Qualifications

• Safety leadership and mentoring of rail crews.
• Experience delivering accurate workplace documentation.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a rail environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity will report to the Operations Superintendent - Rail and contribute to the day to day leadership of the rail operations workforce including the optimisation of productivity, team performance, safety compliance and culture aligned with the Bowen Rail Company Values of Accountability, Safety, Performance, Innovation, Respect and Enterprising Teamwork - ASPIRE

Should you ASPIRE to be an Operations Supervisor, you will have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Safety Leadership
• Completing accurate and timely workplace documentation
• Supporting professional development of traincrew and co-workers
• Working 24/7 rosters including weekends and public holidays

To be consider you must possess the following;

• SARC Safely Access the Rail Corridor [Nationally Accredited]
• Certificate IV in Train Driving
• 7+ years’ experience in an equivalent position experienced in a Rail environment

To be progress your application, in addition you will also have the following:

• Proficient Computer Skills (Advanced Microsoft Office, Systems).
• Excellent Communication Skills, with a collaborate approach to working with teams.
• Understand the requirements of the position, with the ability to deliver performance aligned outcomes.
• Experience with managing teams in a rail operations environment.
