Job summary

Linfox Intermodal is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Supervisor to support a key customer and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of road operations based in Chullora NSW. This role is a permanent day shift, Monday to Friday, and involves coordinating daily site activities, managing resources and driving performance.

The ideal candidate will have transport or logistics leadership experience, strong planning skills and a proven ability to improve operations while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or road operations within a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising operational teams and driving safe, accountable performance.
• Experience in transport planning, load optimisation and TMS or similar operational systems.
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management and transport safety compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate safe and efficient road operations across allocated shifts, ensuring service/compliance requirements are met.
• Plan and manage operational resources, including fleet, equipment, subcontractors and labour, to meet customer demand.
• Manage transport planning, load allocation and optimisation through TMS and DFN systems.
• Monitor service execution, delivery schedules, routing and driver performance to ensure operational KPI targets are achieved.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory and company requirements, including Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, audits and incident management.
• Lead, coach and support operational team members, promoting safe behaviours, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with customers, drivers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Supervisor to support a key customer and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our road operations based in Chullora NSW. This role is responsible for coordinating daily site activities, managing operational resources and ensuring service, safety and compliance requirements are consistently achieved. This is an excellent opportunity for an operational leader with transport, logistics or road transport experience to take ownership of a fast-paced operation and contribute to its ongoing improvement. The role will be a permanent day shift opportunity working Monday to Friday. Key areas:

• Lead and coordinate safe and efficient road operations across allocated shifts, ensuring service/compliance requirements are met


• Plan and manage operational resources, including fleet, equipment, subcontractors and labour, to meet customer demand


• Manage transport planning, load allocation and optimisation through TMS and DFN systems


• Monitor service execution, delivery schedules, routing and driver performance to ensure operational KPI targets are achieved

Are you the one?

• Experience in transport, logistics or road operations within a complex and fast-paced environment


• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising operational teams and driving safe, accountable performance


• Experience in transport planning, load optimisation and TMS or similar operational systems


• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management and transport safety compliance requirements


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
