Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead and inspire a team across transportation networks in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. You will collaborate with Area Managers to drive safety, efficiency and on-time performance in Seattle.

The responsibilities include staffing, coaching, monitoring attendance and workloads, ensuring SOP compliance, and reporting metrics. The ideal candidate has prior team leadership and a hands-on approach to process improvement in a logistics setting.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
• Able to lift up to 20 kg and stand/walk up to 10 hours
• Experience managing teams
• Experience with planning, performance metrics and process improvement

Responsibilities

• Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies
• Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
• Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
• Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
• Collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in tracking, analyzing, and reporting metrics
• Support the Area Managers and Operations Managers in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of objectives
• Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
• Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. This role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Area Managers and Operations Managers to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Can lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
