Job summary

AGnVET is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Polycon, the manufacturing and fabrication division within Darling Irrigation. You will oversee operations, workforce leadership, safety, quality, profitability and growth while collaborating with branch networks, sales teams and customers.

You will drive production planning, resource management and strategic initiatives to expand Polycon's market presence and deliver sustainable competitive advantage across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven success in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering or industrial operations leadership.
• Demonstrated experience growing a business, business unit or operational function.
• Experience leading production planning, resource management and operational improvement initiatives.
• A track record of developing high-performing teams and building strong workplace cultures.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience in water infrastructure, irrigation, polyethylene products, civil infrastructure or related industries will be highly regarded.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Polycon, the manufacturing and fabrication division of Darling Irrigation.

In this role you will be responsible for the overall performance of Polycon, including manufacturing operations, workforce leadership, customer engagement, safety, quality, profitability and growth.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys building businesses, developing people and creating sustainable competitive advantage. Working closely with Darling Irrigation's branch network, sales teams and customers, you will identify opportunities to expand Polycon's market presence while ensuring operational excellence across every aspect of the business.

You will:

• Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing and fabrication team.

You are an experienced operations or manufacturing leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for building successful businesses.

You understand that long-term success comes from balancing people, customers, operational performance and profitability. You are equally comfortable leading on the workshop floor, working with customers on major projects and contributing to strategic business decisions.

You bring:
