Job summary

HEXhire in Melbourne is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to drive growth and coordinate our plant hire operations.

Based in Campbellfield, you will lead an operations team, manage client relationships, and promote the HEXhire brand while overseeing day-to-day fleet and site visits.

The role offers a base salary, a fully maintained vehicle, and opportunities for career development within a fast-growing civil construction supplier.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
• Experience in the plant hire industry is preferred but not essential.
• Experience using and maintaining a Plant Hire CRM system is advantageous.
• Knowledge of fleet and asset management is important.
• Experience managing dry hire plant is a significant advantage.
• Experience onboarding new clients and quoting for services.
• Proven experience in Operations Management and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team to coordinate and fulfill customer requests.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Build new client relationships and promote the HEXhire brand.
• Conduct regular site visits to exceed client expectations.
• Foster an excellent team environment and ensure customer service.
• Serve as primary liaison with client suppliers and contractors.
• Oversee the operations and plant maintenance team in day-to-day ops.
• Support and/or generate new business opportunities.
• Hold weekly meetings and report to senior management.
