Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking an experienced Operations Manager Nursing to lead home and community nursing across Victoria and Tasmania. You will shape high-quality multidisciplinary care, partnering with senior clinical leaders to support independence and wellbeing for older Australians.

You will lead innovative, patient-centered programs, build capability in nursing teams, and drive governance and service transformation in a values-based not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

  • A strategic nursing leader with AHPRA registration, tertiary qualifications and a track record of leading complex healthcare or aged care services through growth and change.
  • Experience in governance, quality outcomes and best-practice care across diverse teams.
  • Ability to translate strategy into effective service delivery and growth.

About the role:

This newly created Operations Manager Nursing role will play a key leadership role driving innovative, home and community-based nursing services across Victoria and Tasmania. Leading nursing teams and partnering with senior clinical leaders, you'll shape high-quality multidisciplinary care that helps older Australians live independently and thrive.

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Shape the future of home and community nursing across Victoria and Tasmania, influencing how high-quality care is delivered to older Australians
  • Lead and inspire experienced clinical leaders, building a culture of excellence, accountability and professional growth
  • Drive innovation and service transformation in a sector undergoing significant reform and opportunity
  • Champion clinical governance and quality outcomes, leveraging your nursing expertise and commitment to best practice
  • Expand the impact of nursing services, identifying new opportunities for growth, sustainability and community benefit.
  • Based in either Victoria (largest cohort of staff) or Tasmania, working full-time Monday-Friday

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • A current Working WithChildren Check (VIC) or Vulnerable People (TAS) card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
