Job summary

International Corrosion Services Pty Ltd is seeking an Operations Manager to lead workshop operations and production planning from our Western Australian facility. You will drive safety, efficiency and continuous improvement while managing a capable team and ensuring on-time customer delivery.

The role demands strong people management, commercial awareness and hands-on leadership to optimise labour, materials and processes in a stainless steel surface treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior operations roles leading manufacturing/workshop teams.
• Strong experience leading teams in manufacturing or industrial processing.
• Demonstrated capability in safety leadership, production planning, cost management and performance improvement.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and producing operational reports.
• Hands-on, practical leadership approach with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workshop operations, production schedules and resource allocation.
• Manage workflow, labour utilisation, productivity and customer delivery commitments.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement measurable operational improvements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and safe chemical handling practices.
• Oversee risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain strong housekeeping and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and operational employees.
• Manage workforce planning, training, competency, attendance and performance.
• Communicate priorities and build a respectful, accountable team culture.
• Control labour costs, overtime, consumables, purchasing and inventory.
