Overview

Operations Manager – Assets & Warehousing

Base pay range: $180,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Location: South of the River

As the Operations Manager – Assets & Warehousing with our client, a well-established and values-driven construction contractor in Western Australia, you'll take ownership of the company’s transport fleet, plant, warehousing, and maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring the business has the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time – enabling safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery across major civil works.

You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team of managers, supervisors, technicians, and store personnel. Your focus will be on optimising asset utilisation, compliance, and operational performance across plant and warehousing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of all plant, fleet, transport, warehousing, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure optimal asset availability and performance for ongoing civil infrastructure projects
  • Oversee warehousing operations, stock levels, and supply of materials to project teams
  • Build and lead a high-performing team aligned with safety and operational objectives
  • Implement systems and processes to support compliance, asset tracking, and performance reporting
  • Drive innovation and improvement across asset management, maintenance scheduling, and logistics
What You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years’ experience in plant, asset, or fleet operations within construction, mining, or infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and large-scale asset portfolios
  • Strong understanding of WHS, heavy vehicle regulations, and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Mechanical trade background or tertiary qualifications in logistics, construction, or asset management – highly regarded
  • Clear communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and lead cultural change
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage departmental budgets
