Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking an Aquatics Operations Manager at the Fawkner Leisure Centre (VIC 3060). The role provides leadership to Duty Managers and Lifeguards, guiding day-to-day operations with a strong focus on safety and customer service excellence.

You will oversee a high-performing operations team, manage risk, and collaborate with Centre management to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons while promoting professional development and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with ability to inspire others
• Knowledge of OHS and public safety within facility
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

• Oversee Duty Managers and Lifeguards and provide leadership to operations team
• Focus on safety, supervision, risk management and day-to-day operations
• Lead with customer service excellence and engage with key stakeholders
• Hands-on role with 80% direct service component and support to Centre Manager

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and friendlyAquatics Operations Manager. This role is designed to provide leadership and guidance to the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams, while assisting the Centre Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Centre.

This role is hands-on with a focus on safety, supervision, risk management and operations. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Lifeguards or Duty Managers looking to further their career in the Leisure industry.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time. You will have proven leadership qualities and have a passion for developing ahigh performing operations team. You will also have an ability to engage with Key Stakeholders and build strong relationships.

This is a 80% direct service component and you will oversee Duty Managers and Lifeguards.

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Working with Children Check

• Previous experience and success in a comparable role
