Job summary

Belgravia Leisure in Melbourne's Fawkner Leisure Centre is seeking energetic, reliable Duty Managers to oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on safety and service excellence.

You will lead a team, communicate clearly, and maintain a welcoming, safe environment for all patrons. Availability for mornings, evenings and at least one Lifeguard shift per week is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with ability to inspire others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of OHS and public safety within your facility.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid Level 2 and CPR certification.
• National Police Check required.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate held.
• Pool Operations Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day facility operations with emphasis on safety and service quality.
• Lead the team, stay calm under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Engage with diverse patrons to ensure a positive experience.
• May be required to work a Lifeguard shift weekly.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Duty Managers to join the team. The Duty Manager’s primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high quality service delivery.

This role requires an individual who is a leader and can keep cool under pressure. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy our visits every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with patrons that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. You may be required to work a minimum of 1 Lifeguard shift per week.

Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded!
