LINX Port Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Port Adelaide leadership team.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will lead stevedoring operations across the site, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery and landside activities. You will drive operational performance through strong leadership, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Leading the safe and efficient delivery of stevedoring operations, including vessel and landside activities.
Planning and coordinate labour, equipment and resources to meet operational and customer requirements.
Manage vessel operations, cargo handling and operational performance to achieve productivity and service targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and overall operational performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, shipping agents, contractors, unions and key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with contractual, legislative, safety and company requirements, including incident and hazard management.
Develop, lead and support Team Leaders and operational employees through effective performance management and workforce planning.
Proven operational leadership experience within stevedoring, ports, logistics, transport, maritime or other industrial environments.
Experience leading and influencing teams within a highly unionised workforce.
Strong knowledge of operational planning, resource utilisation, vessel operations and cardo handling activities.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong safety culture and drive safety performance.
Sound commercial and operational acumen, with a focus on productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship building skills across customers, unions, contractors and regulatory bodies.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making and leadership capabilities, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), or ability to obtain.
