Job summary

Miller Leith is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a dynamic food manufacturing site in Australia. You will oversee factory operations for 20+ staff across multiple lines and shifts, drive supply chain planning, and manage CAPEX projects.

You will champion HACCP/GMP standards, implement performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives to sustain rapid growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead factory operations with 20+ staff across 2 lines on 2 shifts; implement metrics for output, yield, downtime and OEE.
• Oversee supply chain, production planning and distribution logistics via sister companies.
• Manage purchasing, ingredients supply and inventory; drive CAPEX projects and site improvements.

About The Business

The business specialises in healthy snacks delivered into the major retailers. Delivering to multiple channels from their custom built facility and commutable from Byron Bay/ Tweed Heads; the business is on a rapid growth trajectory and is looking for its next Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations.

About The Role

Reporting into the CEO and taking full accountability for manufacturing and supply chain the Operations Manager will be an integral part of the business providing leadership to the facility and a link to the Executive Team. You will lead:

• Factory operations covering 20 + staff and 2 lines operating 2 shift (implementing metrics to measure output, yield, downtime, OEE etc)
• Supply Chain, production planning and distribution logistics via their sister companies logistics teams
• Purchasing and Ingredients supply and inventory
• CAPEX and Projects (several CAPEX installations are planned for site)
• Continuous Improvement (around people capability and process/ systems)

About You

You are an Operations Manager from a small food manufacturing business or a dynamic Production/ Manufacturing Manager looking to take the step up into a Site Operations Manager role. You hold expertise with HACCP and GMP based food production and have played a strong part in equipment installations and the establishment of production performance metrics. You want to be part of a small and growing food manufacturer and are used to working in a dynamic and fast paced, hands on environment where you lead from the front and by example.

Salary range of $140,000- $175,000 + super + bonus
