Job summary

C&D Asphalting is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations and drive growth in the asphalt sector. Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and coordinate across projects.

You will manage asphalt projects from commencement to completion, liaising with clients and suppliers, ensuring Australian Standards and WHS compliance, and delivering on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Strong background in asphalt, civil or construction.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organised, results-driven and detail-oriented.
• Experience delivering road infrastructure and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes.
• Experience with live roadworks, construction and traffic management environments.
• White card - mandatory.
• Local Government or State Government experience desirable.

C&D Asphalting is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of our day to day operations & help drive the next stage of our growth within the Asphalt industry. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is a crucial part of our business. Providing strategic commercial leadership & contributing to the overall direction, growth & success of the business. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Strong background in asphalt, civil or construction
• Exceptional communication & leadership skills
• Highly organised , results driving & attention to detail
• Plan, coordinate & manage asphalt projects from commencement through to completion
• Coordinate project resources, subcontractors & suppliers to achieve construction milestones
• Monitor project progress, budgets & schedules, identifying & resolving engineering & construction issues
• Liaise with clients, consultants & site personnel to ensure effective project delivery
• Ensure construction activities comply with Australian Standards, quality requirements & WHS legislation
• Prepare project reports, progress claims & technical documentation
• Demonstrated experience delivering road infrastructure, asphalt rehabilitation & maintenance projects
• Knowledge of contract management, project planning & procurement processes
• Experience preparing technical specifications & project documentation
• Experience working within live roadwork, construction & traffic management environments
• Understanding of workplace health & safety, environmental management & risk management requirements
• White card - mandatory
• Local Government or State Government experience- highly desirable
