Job summary

Foundation Recruitment Aus Pty Ltd in Darwin, NT is seeking a Senior Construction Manager (Civil) to deliver multiple large civil projects for a major principal contractor with government/defence exposure.

Reporting to senior management, you will manage programs, budgets, safety, and stakeholder relationships, while mentoring project teams and developing construction methodologies. Relocation support and six months of accommodation are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• 10+ years post-graduate experience with a Principal Contractor.
• Proven delivery of $10M+ civil projects.
• Experience managing hard-dollar projects over $10M.
• Strong project and financial management, forecasting, procurement and contract management.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership of large project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Australian citizen and able to obtain government security clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive programs and achieve project objectives.

Construction Manager (Civil) | Northern Territory

Relocation package + 6 months' accommodation for you & your family

Senior leadership role with a major principal contractor, overseeing multiple large-scale civil construction projects across the NT, with a strong focus on government, defence and infrastructure projects.

This role is based in Darwin, NT. No FIFO option.

The Role

Reporting directly to the senior management team you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent civil projects, including:

• Project program, productivity, quality/conformance and safety


• Leadership, mentoring and performance of project teams


• Resource planning and team integration


• Development and monitoring of construction methodologies


• Commercial and financial performance


• Supporting Pre-Contracts with programming and methodology


• Maintaining strong client/stakeholder relationships and company reputation

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent


• 10+ years' post-graduate experience with a Principal Contractor


• Proven delivery of $10M+ projects


• Experience managing hard-dollar projects over $10M


• Strong project and financial management, forecasting, procurement and contract management experience


• Strong commercial acumen

• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Bottom Line

This is a senior Construction Manager position, rather than a single-project PM role.
