Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the centre.
• Manage operational and CAPEX budgets.
• Oversee BMS, HVAC, electrical and fire systems.
• Coordinate security, cleaning and landscaping contracts.
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Handle contractor tenders, quotes and service agreements.
• Ensure WHS compliance and essential services.
• Coordinate tenant fit-outs and landlord works.
• Monitor energy usage and drive efficiency.
• Maintain overall presentation and upkeep of the asset.

Job description

This is a hands-on Operations Manager role across a well-established Canberra shopping centre, with responsibility for the day-to-day operation, presentation and performance of the asset.

You’ll have genuine ownership across building services, contractors, CAPEX, budgets, compliance and tenant fit-outs.

What You’ll Own

• Day-to-day operations of the centre
• Operational and CAPEX budgets
• BMS, HVAC, electrical and fire systems
• Security, cleaning and landscaping contracts
• Preventative and reactive maintenance
• Contractor tenders, quotes and service agreements
• WHS, compliance and essential services
• Tenant fit-outs and landlord works
• Energy usage and operational efficiencies
• Overall presentation and upkeep of the asset

You’ll ideally be an experienced:

• Facilities Manager
• Senior Facilities Manager
• Assistant Operations Manager
• Operations Manager

Experience within shopping centres, retail or commercial property will be highly regarded.

You’ll be confident managing contractors, understand building services and be comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for direction.
