Lindsay Australia in Melbourne's depot is seeking a Warehouse Leading Hand to support day-to-day operations, supervise a small team, and ensure safe, efficient handling of perishable goods. The role runs on afternoon shift from 12 pm, Monday to Friday, with focus on coordinating loading/unloading, paperwork accuracy, and meeting timeslot requirements.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll provide hands‑on support to the team and help ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment. This is an afternoon‑shift position commencing at 12 pm, Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Support the day‑to‑day coordination of the warehouse floor, forklift drivers and on‑site stock.
• Coordinate the loading, unloading, handling and consolidation of perishable goods.
• Ensure all timeslot requirements are met.
• Complete paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.
• Provide hands‑on guidance to team members, lead by example and elevate operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain safe work practices across all warehouse operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous warehouse experience, with exposure to leading, guiding or supporting a small team.
• Experience in inventory management.
• A current and valid forklift licence.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to guide team members and support daily workflow.
• Experience loading and unloading freight, ideally including perishable goods.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility, resilience and the ability to adapt to ever‑changing priorities.
• Solid computer skills.
• Well‑developed communication skills.
