Job summary

Tomago Aluminium is seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to lead a major production department at our aluminium smelter. The role reports to the Department Manager and focuses on safe, reliable and efficient operations while developing leadership capability across the team.

You will champion a strong safety culture, drive performance metrics, coach frontline supervisors and align priorities with departmental and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in heavy industry or processing environments.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and risk management.
• Strong coaching and people development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and lead by example.
• Drive performance across production, quality, cost and reliability.
• Lead, coach and develop frontline supervisors and teams.
• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to optimise plant performance.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage operational budgets and cost performance.
