Job summary

Urban Angels Community Kitchen in Maroochydore, QLD, invites applications for an Operations Manager. You will lead daily kitchen operations, food production, logistics, compliance and staff supervision to meet service objectives and community outcomes.

This permanent, full-time role offers a base salary of A$105,500 per year plus super, with the option to work from home after the initial training period. Benefits include salary packaging up to A$15,900, a provided vehicle, wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience leading diverse teams comprising employees and volunteers.
• Delivery of operations within food services, hospitality, or similar environment.
• Sound understanding of Food Safety Standards, HACCP principles, and WH&S legislation.
• Qualifications in Hospitality, Business, Leadership and Management or related discipline are desirable.
• Ability to manage operational budgets, resources and compliance obligations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and community-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the UACK, including food preparation, inventory management and delivery logistics.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, WH&S, and relevant legislative requirements.
• Monitor budgets and resources while ensuring compliance with organisational processes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders to support service delivery outcomes.
• Prepare reports, analyse data, and coordinate stakeholder communications including newsletters and social media content.
• Provide supervision, support and training to employees and volunteers to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, onboarding, and performance management per policies.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, service quality and program growth.
