Job summary

Hydrapower Australia is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate day-to-day workshop operations and align engineering, purchasing and administration. You’ll work with leading hands and office staff to keep jobs moving efficiently and production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and experience managing people in a manufacturing/ workshop setting.
• Ability to organise multiple priorities and drive results in a busy environment.
• Proven problem-solving ability with a practical, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating day-to-day workshop operations
• Managing production schedules and priorities
• Working with fabrication, machining, assembly and paint teams
• Supporting purchasing and inventory management
• Coordinating with engineering to keep jobs moving
• Monitoring workflow, capacity and delivery commitments
• Leading and supporting staff across the business
• Running planning and production meetings
• Working with suppliers and subcontractors
• Identifying bottlenecks and helping improve efficiency
• Maintaining a safe, organised and productive workplace
• Being a key point of communication between the workshop and office
