• Undergraduate or postgraduate with degree in data science, ML, AI, software dev, CS or related field.
• On-site Melbourne office for five days a week during internship (minimum 6 months).
• Familiar with large language model (LLM) technologies.
• Hands-on experience in AI to empower data analytics, reporting and business processes.

Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our platform by turning data into insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and help drive initiatives that enhance the experience for both drivers and riders. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about solving real-world operational problems through data, eager to grow their analytical skills, and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

In this role, you'll be...

• Data Analysis & Operational Insights
  Track, analyze, and interpret key operational metrics across driver and rider segments. Deliver actionable insights to support decision-making on user engagement, service reliability, and platform efficiency.
• Reporting & Dashboarding
  Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), support weekly/monthly reviews, and highlight emerging trends or issues.
• Local Operations & Execution Monitoring
  Partner with city operations teams to monitor the effectiveness of local activations, offline initiatives, and supply-demand strategies. Provide data-backed suggestions to improve city-level performance.
• Process Improvement
  Identify bottlenecks in operational workflows and leverage AI and data to drive scalable improvements in efficiency, quality, and speed of execution.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Marketing to align on goals, ensure accurate metric definitions, and drive continuous improvement based on shared insights.

We're eager to be in touch because you have...

• Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who recently graduated from a Bachelor/Masters Degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Candidates are expected to work on-site at our Melbourne office for five days per week during the internship, which runs for at least 6 months and may be extended based on performance and mutual agreement.
• Familiar with large language model (LLM) related technologies.
• Hands-on experience of AI technology to empower data analytics, reporting and business process improvements.
• Strong interest in AI and able to implement AI as a solution to day-to-day business operations.
• Strong interest in data analytics with the ability to interpret information and contribute to insight-driven discussions and recommendations.
• Curious and solution-oriented, with a strong desire to learn from real-world operational challenges.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, accurate work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools. SQL and/or Python experience is a plus
