Job summary

BlueScope's Orrcon Steel unit in Unanderra is seeking an organised Operations Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role. The position supports daily site operations and administration, ensuring efficient coordination across HR, safety, training, reliability, and quality.

You will maintain documentation, manage records, and coordinate purchasing and office organisation while liaising with site leaders and external suppliers to keep the site running smoothly.

The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team based in Unanderra. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe andleading Australian steel distributor with nationallyrecognised brands.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Operations Support professional to help keep our manufacturing site running smoothly.

In this varied role, you’ll provide efficient coordination and administrative support across day-to-day manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with site leaders and operational teams, contributing to office administration, safety, training, quality, reliability and general business activities.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing accurate work and can confidently coordinate tasks through to completion.

This full-time permanent role, will see you working Monday – Friday across our day shift

What Will You Do?

Working within a collaborative team environment, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the daily operations and administration of the manufacturing site

You’ll build relationships across the site, working with site managers, engineers, HR and HSE representatives, shift supervisors, coordinators and team leaders. You’ll also interact with external suppliers and site visitors.
