Job summary

HVO in the Hunter Valley is seeking an experienced Operational Technology Technician to join our on-site team. You will set up, maintain and develop OT systems such as Modular, CAT Minestar, Mineware or Leica, and support related communications infrastructure.

You will manage wireless networks, CCTV, microwave links and GuardVant, prioritise tasks to minimise mining disruption, and pursue safety and efficiency improvements through hands-on technical work.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade in Electrical, Auto Electrical or related communication field.
• Experience in similar field hardware roles at large mine sites or relevant industries.
• Excellent computer literacy - proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and SAP programs.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, maintaining and developing operational technologies such as Modular, CAT Minestar, Mineware or Leica and related communications.
• Setup and maintenance of operational technology wireless networks.
• CCTV, Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Microwave Links and GuardVant management.
• Manage priorities to minimise mining impacts while maximizing fleet system performance.

Job Description

We are seeking to employ experienced Electricians, Auto Electricians and Communication Technicians to join our Operational Technology Team, fulfilling the role of Operational Technology Technician.

Reporting to the Operational Technology Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering quality outputs in the area of Operational Technology, primarily focused across the Mining fleet and associated communication infrastructure.

About the Role

Setting up, maintaining and developing of operational technologies such as Modular, CAT Minestar, Mineware or Leica as well as other technology-based components and associated communication infrastructure.

Setup and maintenance of operational technology wireless networks.

Other systems include, but not limited to, CCTV, Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Microwave Links and GuardVant.

Manage priorities to minimise impacts to mining whilst maximising performance of fleet systems.

Sustain, support, and identify business improvement opportunities that focus on safety and operating efficiency.

Roster Based On site at HVO (off Lemington Road).

About You
