Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Supervisor to support the Transport Operations team. Reporting to the Coordinator Transport Operations, you will supervise and undertake construction and maintenance activities and projects in line with the council's operations program.

You will bring proven team leadership skills, the ability to interpret plans, manage safe work practices under WHS guidelines, and coordinate staff to ensure timely completion of works while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate level qualification in related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in construction and maintenance.
• Experience leading and supervising operational staff.
• Ability to interpret plans and execute work instructions.
• Proven experience with work management systems and planning.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• WHS General Construction Work in NSW and WWCC.
• The right to live and work in Australia.

The Role

Reportingto the Coordinator Transport Operations, you will assist with team supervisionand undertake construction and maintenance activities and projects inaccordance with Council's operations program.

About You

You will haveteam supervisory skills and experience and the ability to lead a team toensure construction and maintenance activitiesare undertaken and completed in accordance with Council's operationsprogram. You will thrive ina team environment and be able motivate team members to perform efficiently whilstin a safe manner, ensuring WHS guidelines are followed.

• Certificate level qualifications in a relatedfield or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in construction andmaintenance field
• Experience leading and supervising operationalstaff
• Ability to determine project requirements, includingability to interpret plans and execute work instructions
• Demonstrated experience in work managementsystems, planning processes and work prioritisation
• Professional verbal and written communicationskills
• Physically capable/ fit to undertake the manual handling required in the role
• Valid Class MR Licence
• The right to live and work in Australia

• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
