Role detailsThe Operational Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Officer (Cleaning) to join their team on a permanent basis.For information on how to apply and the mandatory requirements for this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityThis position will be responsible for providing a 24 hour/7-day week support service for multi-disciplinary staff and patient care including cleaning, removal of waste, transportation of patients, equipment, linen and materials around the hospital. This position will also be required to work with and provide support and advice to Team Leader, Supervisors and/or Manager of Operational Services.About the TeamOperational Services provides and co-ordinates a diverse range of services that support the clinical divisions in the delivery of patient centred health care at Mackay Base Hospital. The department consists of the following keys areas:Cleaning Services;Wardsperson Services;Waste Management;Grounds and Gardens; andPatient Equipment Loan Store (PELS).About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,500 staff.
