Job summary

Cirql is seeking a Finance Manager in Melbourne to lead end-to-end financial operations across the fintech platform. This hands-on leadership role partners with senior leadership on budgeting, cash forecasting, and unit economics to drive performance and scalability.

You will manage month-end close, GL integrity, working capital, and analytics, while refining processes and applying agile governance across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• What you'll bring includes a pragmatic, energetic Finance Manager who enjoys working close to the business and solving operational challenges.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field with CA/CPA.
• Proven experience as Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or broad operational accounting role in high-growth tech/fintech environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with a shift toward agile management reporting, cash forecasting, and operational finance.
• Demonstrated capability in standardising financial processes, enhancing systems efficiency, and cloud accounting/BI tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a hands-on approach and ability to engage with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end month-end closing, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting.
• Overseeing daily cash position management, 13-week liquidity forecasting, working capital optimisation, and merchant settlement flows.
• Assisting the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis for leadership.
• Analysing platform unit economics, gross margins, and transaction volumes to support pricing decisions.
• Evaluating and automating finance processes, internal controls, and cloud-based tech integrations.
• Leading tax compliance, BAS/IAS lodgments, audit preparation, and governance across entities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional leads to track performance metrics and manage departmental budgets.
