Job description

At Cirql, we don't focus on industry specifics - our core specialisation is partnering with middle-market organisations that are experiencing change. This client is the perfect example of that - an established and high-growthscale up company proactively structuring its corporate systems, processes, and capability for the next wave of expansion.

Cirql is proud to represent a dynamic, highly successful, vertically integrated business operating at the intersection of capital management, specialised asset development, and operational service delivery. Operating across a multi-entity structure supported by institutional capital partners, wholesale investment funds, and social impact vehicles, the group manages the full life cycle of its asset portfolio—from capital originations and project execution through to long-term operational management.

Poised for its next chapter of expansion following recent merger activity and targeted strategic acquisitions, the group is rapidly building out its asset base. The executive leadership team is deeply committed to embedding robust financial controls, agile reporting, and modern systems to underpin ongoing organic growth and platform consolidation. The work environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and execution-focused, offering direct autonomy within a lean structure where finance acts as a key strategic enabler.

About the Opportunity

This is a dynamic, high-impact Financial Controller position tailored for an ambitious finance professional looking to step into a broad operational leadership role. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will take full ownership of group financial management, process optimisation, banking facilities, and financial integration across a diverse multi-entity structure.

You will collaborate closely with both onshore and offshore finance team members to maintain financial discipline, standardise group processes, and deliver insightful cash flow and covenant reporting. This role balances practical, day-to-day accounting execution with mid-market corporate complexity, including debt covenant management, liquidity tracking, and supporting post-merger integration.

What You'll Do

Overseeing day-to-day finance and accounting operations across corporate and special purpose vehicles to maintain pristine core ledgers.

Guiding, mentoring, and coordinating a blended finance function comprising a small local team and dedicated offshore support resources.

Designing, implementing, and continually improving group-wide systems, process controls, and DOA frameworks across keyplatforms.

Managing weekly 13-week liquidity tracking, cash forecasting, and working capital optimisation across operating entities.

Supportingoperational banking relationships, settlement of credit and debt facilities, ongoing covenant reporting, and investor updates.

Supporting M&A integration activities, platform consolidation, and corporate setup for newly acquired sub-scale entities and merged operations.

Ensuring corporate governance and tax compliance across all trading entities, wholesale capital structures, and specialized project entities.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for a practical, process-driven finance professional who thrives fast-moving mid-market environments. You are someone who enjoys building efficient systems, getting into the details of operational reporting, and stepping up into a broader commercial scope.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, with CA/CPA qualification or progress toward completion.

Proven experience in a Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or stepping-stone Financial Controller role within a complex, multi-entity group.

Strong exposure to cash flow forecasting, 13-week liquidity management, banking covenant reporting, and debt facility administration.

Technical systems affinity with hands-on exposure to tools such as Xero, MYOB, PowerBI, Hubspot, and AI related tools.

Demonstrated experience in process improvement, setting up internal financial controls, or supporting post-merger team integration.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate offshore teams and engage effectively with executive management.
