Job summary

Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government organisation to engage an Operational Contract Risk Analyst for a contract until 11/11/2026 with possible 3-month extension based in Milsons Point NSW / Parramatta NSW.

The Operational Contract Risk Analyst supports operational contract management through the analysis, monitoring and reporting of contractor risks. Hybrid work from home is available, with weekly pay and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in risk management within a high-risk environment.
• Strong understanding of risk management strategies and practices.
• Experience building relationships with executives, regulators, stakeholders and risk committees.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops.
• Ability to understand complex operating environments and make recommendations.
• Ability to communicate risk management concepts to non-experts.
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
• Recent Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references.
• Must reside and work in NSW.

About the Position

The Operational Contract Risk Analyst supports operational contract management through the analysis, monitoring and reporting of contractor risks. The role contributes to the implementation of consistent risk management practices and processes across a complex operational environment.

Duties

• Analyse risk information and prepare reports for senior management
• Identify contractor risk trends and provide recommendations to support decision making
• Support the management and utilisation of enterprise risk information systems
• Prepare and maintain risk registers and risk reports
• Support contractor risk assessments and undertake research and analysis
• Facilitate risk workshops and provide risk management support
• Provide advice on risk management standards, strategies and procedures
• Monitor and report on performance against risk mitigation plans

Requirements/Skills

• Demonstrated extensive experience in risk management or equivalent responsibility within a high-risk environment
• Strong understanding of risk management strategies and practices
• Experience building relationships with executives, regulators, stakeholders and risk committees
• Experience facilitating risk workshops
• Ability to understand complex operating environments and make recommendations
• Ability to communicate risk management concepts and principles to people with limited knowledge of risk management
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience
• Recent Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to provide two professional reference checks
• Candidates must reside and work in NSW
